The God asks for what his wish to be in his next life. Initially he asks for no-disease body, since he lost out on most of his life. The God grants his wish, grants him another wish, asking what would he want be in the next life. Hiraku replies he wished to live peaceful life as a Farmer, not unlike the farming idols he watched on television. Which gives the god little concern, pulls out what appears to be a smart phone and talks to others about the wish, in which he tells him he will get it. In addition he will be given tool, "All-Purpose Farming Tool" or A.F.T. which can become any non-powered tool he wishes. Also this tool can disappear and reappear on command. Once this done, he sent to the world for his resurrection, reassuring him that he will be able to understand all languages and will have a proper background to explain his sudden appearance.

Resurrection in a Forest[]

After transitioning from afterlife to his new world, Hiraku finds himself standing in the middle of a forest dressed as a farmer. He finds he is in his prime, his age now roughly 20 again "as god resurrected all his dead parts". He slightly panic he calls on his tool, sets to work trying plow right through forest. While wielding the tool, he appears to be not suffer from fatigue or exhaustion. He sets to get basic things such as water and clear land for shelter. He also kills a aggressive rabbit like creature with AFT giving himself his first meal.

Building his farm and gathering of new friends[]

With use of the AFT, Hiraku carves out farming field for himself, leaving one lone extremely large tree at the center of his land. He soon discovers he has no seeds to raise crops to his dismay, however after a day rest plants soon rise out the ground. He determines that the his tool can plant whatever plant he wishes into the ground, solving his issue of getting seeds for his farm. He would set up place for him store his food, setup a toilet, and build crude fences and ditches around his farmland from woodland creatures.

He would encounter shortly his first companions, pair of wolves/dogs. He promptly invites in sensing their friendly. He offers large animal he had claimed meat from, since he could not eat everything. The dogs munch down and become more friendly to Hiraku. However, sorely he discovers the female dog is heavy with pups and is about give birth. He offers his shelter to the dogs where she gives birth to four puppies.

Emerging from woods shortly after the cubs had left, what appears to be a naked young girl needing help. Hiraku goes to her only to be thank bitten by her showing her to be a Vampire. However, after being roughed up by Kuro & Yuki, she reveals her name is Rurushi Ru, she needs his blood to revive. He agrees, she is restored to a more adult body. He eventually takes her in and gives her shelter. Grateful for his kindness she remains on the farm, and endures the daily chores maintaining his farm and helping him out. She gives him pointers how better survive in the woods and gives him aid with her magic. Not long after, Tia, the angel arrives and yet again appears to be menacing and in pursuit of Ru. However, she intercepted by the Hiraku's furry friends, the hounds and is easily handled. She reveals she was chasing Ru due to the troubles she had in their former home. Like Ru, she too takes up residence on the farm.

Expanding Farm and new Residences[]

Having trouble with labor between Ru and Tia, they decide recruit willing people whom have been in looks of a home. Hiraku is introduced to a group of young human like girls known as High Elves. They have tragic story, needing home after wandering for centuries. They soon join the Farm, taking on various chores, as Hiraku farm soon begins to seem like a small village in the making. However, he finds out that the High Elves have alternative motives to moving in. They need to revive their people, they're all females and he is a male. Thus comically he becomes stud for the beleaguered Elves.

Shortly after the High Elves arrive, Hiraku's ambitious aqueduct is completed, funneling water into pool from the river to his place. Allowing him create bathing out for himself and others.

As time passed, additional residents would arrive, forcing the expansion of the Farm into one village and more villages.

Attack of the Wyvern and Attention of outsiders of the Farm[]

One day, a wild Wyvern arrives in the forest, and attacks the farm. Efforts from Tia's and Ru's magic intervention prevents a fireball from destroying the center tree of the Farm. Angry at the attack, thinking someone was attacking his farm deliberately, Hiraku transforms the AFT into a Javelin[1] and tosses it at and through the Wyvern twice, killing it.

Hiraku goes to the body of the dead wyvern, while Tia and Ru discuss the startling revelation of their good fortunate. As the Wyvern had placed magical barriers to prevent Hiraku's attack, but all were ignored by his AFT. They were shaken by the fact that their sweet man could have killed them had it not been the Wolves whom had stopped them when they first arrived at the farm.[2]

Abilities[]

As a resurrected human from Earth, he was gifted with a healthy body immune to disease and the ability to speak the local language. He also received a mystical item known as 『AFT』 (All-Purpose Farming Tool). Hiraku cannot use magic at all, without the tool he has the power and abilities of a normal human, but his AFT grants him abilities that no one else can match.

Healthy Body: As its name indicates, it is a healthy body immune to all kinds of diseases, it also gives him almost unlimited stamina.

Local Language: He is able to speak with any race, can read texts and codes, and can also speak a variety of languages, from common languages to languages of aquatic races and ancient fairy languages. When he talks to another person, it will be in that language. From his point of view, everything is in Japanese. So he believes that everyone speaks the same language and can understand each other. Therefore, Taiju Village promotes multilingualization of residents[3]. With each new inhabitant, he learns more languages.

"AFT" (All-Purpose Farming Tool): The Creator God granted him a farming tool for Hiraku's third wish before the transfer. It usually resides in Hiraku's body and can be freely picked up and taken out, and even if thrown it instantly returns to him. He transforms into various tools at Hiraku's will. When the land is cultivated with it, the land itself becomes suitable for agriculture, and the plants the cultivator thinks of will remain cultivated. The growth rate of the plant grown with this method is 3 to 4 times the normal rate. When the hoe blade hits a living thing, it turns into fertilizer. The edge of the ax is good enough to cut a tree in the Forest of Death, and the tree after cutting it can be used without drying it.

The transformation is basically limited to farming tools, but it can transform into a spear as a holdover from the time when it was the "Replica of Holy Lance Gryme". It has the power to pierce a 3-layer barrier and hit vital parts, leaving a large hole. The power when used as a weapon is enough to defeat Dragons. This weapon is so powerful that it drains all of the user's energy with a single use, but Hiraku's "healthy body" instantly restores the depleted energy from him.

Known Farming Tools:

  • Hoe: Pulverize everything in front of the swung blade and turn it into fertilizer. The land plowed with this is blessed and becomes fertile, and if you pray at that time, crops will sprout in about a day and night without sowing seeds.
  • Axe: No matter how hard and thick a large tree is, it can be cut with a single blow, and it can be used immediately as firewood or lumber without the need for drying or removing tar.
  • Shovel: It is a suitable way to dig up the ground. Fresh water gushes out from a hole that has been dug to a certain extent.
  • Wheelbarrow: It's not an old fashioned shape, but a modern style that you can find at a hardware store. It is used to transport heavy objects such as wood from the forest of death and magical beasts from the forest of death. Hiraku doesn't get tired while he runs with it.
  • Watering Can: With this, the sprayed water will automatically have an insect repellent effect. It appears to be made of plastic.
  • Knife: In addition to woodworking, it is also used for butchering animal meat, even magical metals and dragon scales are easily scraped.
  • Hand Drill: Easily removes any material.
  • File: The effect is similar to that of a hand drill, but the finish is smoother. It seems that there is less damage and impact on living trees.
  • Hammer: The soil is mainly compacted, and there is no scene of piling.
  • Magnifying Glass: Although different from its original purpose, it was used for concentrated ignition. Only during the day, of course.
  • Rice Scoop: Used for making fermented foods such as cheese. Enzymes and bacteria will automatically adhere to it if you keep it in mind when using it.
  • Tobiko: A tool with a single claw shaped like a crowbar. It is used for towing heavy objects during work. It seems that the weight reduction effect is working at that time.
  • Chisel: Used for woodworking and metalworking. Perfect spheres and regular polyhedrons can be cut accurately. In the case of statues, when the model is abstract, it seems that the image recorded by the "universal farming tool" is strongly reflected.[4]
  • Sickle: It was used to defeat a Earth Rat that swallowed a Kuro's son whole, to avoid turning it into dirt by killing the rat.
  • Sycthe: It was used to defeat a Grappler Bear and a Bloody Viper, cutting off their heads in one move.

Family and children[]

Hiraku is in a polygamous relationship with many of the Taiju residents. Given his position as Village Chief, as well as his kind personality along with his power and intelligence, make him a magnet for girls. Also, Tia needing help, brought High Elves to Hiraku's farm, secretly promising "breeding" stock to help repopulate the High Elf race, which Hiraku isn't unaware of.

As of autumn of his 19th year after being reincarnated, he has a total of 21 wives with whom he has had 29 children. Due to the culture of the world where they live, only those who have had children with the Village Chief or those who the Village Chief requested in marriage are recognized as "Wife".

Notes[]

  • There is no fully defined ranking among the wives, but Ru, Tia, Ann, Ria, Fraurem, Hakuren and Lastismun are recognized as "Main Wives" due their ranks in their respective races. This is because even though the dragons have married Hiraku much later, they have greater power than the others. Another reason is that some of his partners only wanted to procreate and generate offspring, and Hiraku was just "the only man available in the village", so they were not interested in being part of the Village Chief's inner circle.
  • Hiraku's harem were almost all virgins (if not all) before, because most of them come from a group that only contains women and unmarried high class/royal family members.
  • There is a hierarchy in each race when it comes to flirting with the Village Chief. For example, although initially interested, the angels did not approach Hiraku until it was allowed by Tia. Also, due to political reasons, Fraurem doesn’t allow any Civil Officer Girls (except her) to sleep with the Village Chief and because of that, they call themselves as the "lowest tier" of the village.
  • Despite it being public knowledge of his many lovers and wives, no one refers to him as a womanizer, which is true, since he always tries to respect the feelings of the women who have shown an interest in him. Hiraku is also very respectful, so he actively avoids getting involved with any woman who is married or already in a relationship.
  • Hiraku's libido is also affected by his "healthy body" causing a lot strain in bed with many of the girls, and is one of the reasons he has so many wives and lovers. Only a few girls can match his stamina.
  • The Nyunyu-Daphnes seems to be the only race of females that don't have any interest in romance with him, because they are more spirit-like.
  • Some of the Beastgirls from the first batch of migrants tried to exchange a reward medal for a son with the Village Chief but he refused because they were still young.
  • In the latest volume, Harpies seem to be interested in Hiraku, though making the second longest race to develop romantic feelings.

Trivia[]

  • Hiraku is largely oblivious to how unusual he is in comparison to the inhabitants that have joined him in the Forest of Death.
  • While seemingly a normal human being with usual traits for his world having no magic powers, his blessing from god makes him the most powerful being on the new world.
  • The women designed his house so they can have easy access to Hikaru and even lock him inside his room; all so they can have sex with him.
  • Its because of all the male elves being stubborn and refusing to move to the village that Hiraku has been utterly doomed as a stud horse for the females elves. (Even the fans feel angry at them for causing Hiraku this fate; wishing a chapter was dedicated to clobbering the male elves and forcing them move.)
  • It's hinted by the gods that he ages slower then most humans, because of his blessing by the god of creation. This explains that throughout the series he isn't showing any signs of aging.
  • Hiraku doesn't like BL novels, so he purposely distances himself from Versa to avoid being cast in her novels.
  • Gargard secretly refers to him as the "Great Demon King" and is ready to hand over the country to him upon his request. But Hiraku is not interested, so he has been searching for a suitable candidate among his children.
